Ingredients in making a healthy coleslaw:
- cabbage, shredded
- carrots, cut in pieces or julienned
- onions, chopped
- bell pepper (red or green), julienned
- ground pepper
- sugar or honey
- olive oil (optional but preferred)
Let's start making a healthy coleslaw.
1. Mix the cabbage, carrots, onions and bell pepper in a deep bowl.
2. Season the coleslaw with salt and pepper at this point.

4. Chill the two mixtures separately.
5. Mix them together when ready to serve.
