Preparing All the Ingredients in Cooking




Simple home cooking is made easy when all the necessary ingredients are prepared before cooking starts.




I like all my ingredients to be prepared, cut, cleaned and ready before I start cooking. Otherwise, I will forget one or two things to put in my dish. Also, I don't want to be rattled in doing anything else other than minding my cooking pot. I do this in all the home cooking recipes I prepare. It has become a habit. What's your cooking habit?

While I was learning to cook, I tend to leave out vital ingredients in my dish if I star cooking without preparing properly. These meals don't come out as tasty as I hope them be due to these missed ingredients. I suppose this doesn't happen to me alone.

In time, I learned the importance of preparing all the ingredients first before I even turn on my stove. I'm very cautious in simple home cooking meals this way. I don't like rushing while I'm cooking. I don't like to cut and dice and slice while I stir and saute' my pan. For me, cooking and preparing ingredients at the same time are taxing for me.

Prepare everything first. Cook the meal. And clean up after.

One of the important lessons of simple home cooking is to be organized in the kitchen. It makes home cooking recipes easy to do for me, at least.
